Advance tickets for Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” sell for more than $100 million

More than $100 million has been raised through the sale of advance tickets for Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour”.

It’s likely that next week’s movies will be completely sold out since AMC Theatres has already allegedly made over $100 million by selling tickets to Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour in advance. We anticipated the concert film’s success at the box office, but the early sales indicate that Swifties will fill theaters the weekend it opens. Haters may hate all they want.

This year, the Eras Tour alone made $300 million from just 22 shows. Its $300 million total puts it among the top-grossing tours of all time by a female artist, and its average revenue of $13.67 million beats out Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour as the highest ever. The cinematic adaptation, titled Renaissance: A Cinematic by Beyonce, is also scheduled for release in theaters this December.

Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour"

Some movie releases were delayed because of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, including Priscilla by Sofia Coppola and The Exorcist: Believer by Blumhouse. Jason Blum has said, “The one thing that scares me to death is Taylor Swift,” and he has used the hashtag “#TaylorWins” on social media to express his fear of Swift. AMC has promised that as demand grows, they will “continue to take steps to reach agreements with additional cinema operators throughout the world to play this spectacular Taylor Swift tour de force.”

With those numbers, The Eras Tour will join the ranks of other blockbusters like Barbie ($162 million), The Super Mario Bros. Movie ($144 million), Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse ($120 million), Guardians of the Galaxy ($118 million), and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania ($106 million) as one of the year’s best openings. Theater rentals for private viewings of The Eras Tour are now available for groups of up to 40 people seeking a more intimate, individualized experience. Who wouldn’t want to see a skinny pop star perform on the big screen while downing 24 ounces of sweet Coke product from a promotional popcorn bucket or cup sold by AMC?
